Performance

Most athletes are consistently training their bodies, improving endurance and building muscle memory. Our brains can be trained to build the same resilience and flexibility. When our brains are not trained to the same performance level as our bodies, we can experience a loss of focus, lack of confidence, diminished energy, and the inability to quickly adjust in the moment.

Many trainers, coaches, and individual athletes have discovered that brain training with NeurOptimal® neurofeedback can provide a mental edge over competitors and have them performing at their very best. Neurofeedback can help improve mental acuity, stress management, and promote healthy sleep patterns. By keep the brain as fit as the body, individuals have experienced increased capacities for improving hand/eye coordination and balance; and improving ease and quickness of error-free decision making.

Furthermore, there is a strong connection between mental fitness (mind) and physical fitness (body). When individuals have more balance and control over emotions and are strongly attuned with their mind, they tend to perform better physically.

Research shows that the relationship between mindfulness and athletes’ mental skills may be explained by emotion regulation and self-regulation. Cultivating the mindfulness state of the body may increase the mental skills required for successful sports participation.
